I am a wife and mother of three with over 10 years of experience in educating and supporting mothers in breastfeeding, childbirth, and nutrition. I am a La Leche League Leader, ToLabor Professional Trained Doula, and Birth Photographer.
Although my husband and I prepared for childbirth through Bradley Method Childbirth classes and a significant amount of reading, our first two children were born by cesarean section. With a knowledgeable and supportive care provider and doula for my third birth, I was able to have a VBAC (vaginal birth after cesarean). Choosing a birth location that supports your needs and desires as well as a knowledgeable and supportive primary care provider is one of the most important decisions you can make that will affect the choices that you have in labor and the outcome of your birth.
My own experiences and struggles have given me a passion to help other mothers create the best opportunity for a successful natural childbirth. Hi! I'm Brooke. I'm a wife & mother of two. I'm an Ohio native, but have called North Carolina home since high school. During the birth of my first child in 2016, I felt so informed, supported, and empowered even though things didn't quite go according to plan. Hi, I’m Staci. I am a Vermont native who moved to Charlotte, NC in 2014 and currently reside in Statesville, NC. I am a mother, partner, doula, educator, advocate, and ally and am truly honored to be supporting clients in North Carolina.
The first birth I ever witnessed was in 2000 at the age of 13 and I was hooked! Watching my baby sister enter this world changed my world in all the right ways. I am currently a student of The Well: School of Body Literacy, and am excited to begin counseling teens, womxn, and couples in Fertility Awareness and its many uses. People who experience menstruation have access to a wealth of knowledge about their health and physiology literally at their fingertips when they practice Fertility Awareness. Through the use of this practice, I will be able to teach you how to avoid an unwanted pregnancy, achieve a pregnancy when you're ready, and to gauge your hormonal and gynecological health. I strongly believe that all girls, women, and womxn should have access to this information.

Hello! My name is Tashona. I was born in sunny Florida and raised in the wonderful state of North Carolina. As a 10 year military spouse I've moved many, many times and am thrilled to have landed back at home in North Carolina. My family includes my husband of over 20 wonderful years and our four amazing children. We live right outside of Charlotte in Midland, NC and love being out of the busy-ness of the city but close enough to the city to do the cool stuff. Outside of work I enjoy creating lifelong family memories, attempting all types of DIY crafts and projects (and sometimes actually completing them), fine tuning my green thumb, and learning from and sharing with women from every generation across all walks of life.
My heart for serving women gave birth to Viumbe Birth and Wellness, LLC. I believe strongly that I was created to help, serve, and care for others so that they can fully do what they were created to do. After becoming a licensed massage therapist in 2013 and specializing in women's wellness, my passion for the prenatal period led me down the path of becoming certified in Fertility Massage (for both partners), Prenatal, Labor, and Postpartum Massage, and Infant Massage instruction. These massage certifications are what introduced me to birth work and now I can't imagine doing anything else. I took my first doula training with DONA International in 2014 and a second with The Birth Well in 2016.
