Short bio:  

My name is Debbie, mom to 5 adult children, and an ever increasing number of precious grand kids. When I discovered what a doula is, I knew I had found my lifelong calling. It was then that I decided to get certified as a labor doula. What a wonderful journey it has been.

It is my great honor to be welcomed into the sacred place of expectant families as they bring their precious babies earth side! I am by nature nurturing and compassionate. It is my belief that every woman should have the continual, non-judgemental support of a doula. I feel strongly that as a doula, it is my responsibility to stay current on evidence based research and continuing education. I remind all my clients that “this is your birth!”

It doesn’t matter if it is a hospital, birth center, or homebirth, first or tenth baby, belly birth or vaginal, completely unmedicated, epidural, or somewhere in between. There is no correct way to give birth. Each birth is unique, and my support is tailored accordingly.  My goal is that no matter how a woman chooses to give birth, she does so feeling respected, supported, informed, and confident.
