Short bio:
Rebecca Duerr is a Integrative Nutritionist, Certified Doula and Placenta Specialist, and loving wife and mother to her four daughters in Mooresville, NC. Rebecca specializes in working with women who would like to naturally improve their health, increase their fertility, have a positive natural pregnancy and birth experience and have a happy and relaxing postpartum period to enjoy their new baby. She gives women the support they need to have the personal life, pregnancy experience, and family life that they have always wanted and deserve.
Rebecca’s passion for helping women reach their health goals developed from her own experiences with pregnancy, birth, and postpartum. Her oldest daughter was born at home after a healthy pregnancy and her twin daughters were born naturally at a maternity center after another healthy pregnancy. She was able to use therapeutic foods as well as get the support she needed to have the pregnancies and births that she always imagined having. There is a lack of support for women who want to reach and maintain their optimal health before, during and after their pregnancy. Rebecca is that support. Her experiences, education and passion to help women during a time that can feel stressful, lonely and full of guessing games can lead to a more calm, fulfilling and satisfying motherhood.
Rebecca has a Master's of Science in Nutrition and Integrative Health, from the Maryland University of Integrative Health (MS). She is currently accumulating the required clinical hours to obtain her North Carolina Dietetics/Nutrition License (LDN), as well as her Certificate of Nutrition Specialist (CNS). She is also a CAPPA certified labor doula (CLD) and trained APPA Placenta Specialist.

Short Bio: My husband, Jeff, and I have been married for 32 years. We took Bradley® classes when we were expecting our first child. Our daughter was born within five minutes of our arrival at our birthplace. We have used the Bradley Method® techniques that we teach for the births of all nine of our babies. We have been teaching Bradley® childbirth classes for over 25 years (in Connecticut, New Jersey, San Diego, and North Carolina) and in 2020 very successfully switched to teaching interactive classes on Zoom.
Besides taking care of our children, chickens, turkeys, and rabbits, I volunteer with Girl Scouts and 4-H. Jeff sings in the Hickory Choral Society and occasionally coaches one of our children's soccer teams. His day job is in IT. My day and night job is our children and sometimes our two grandchildren.
Description of services offered: We teach a ten week Bradley® childbirth series. Jeff gives the viewpoint of husband, coach, and father. I am the one who has had nine unmedicated births. Features of our classes are including the coach in the pregnancy and in the labor; creating a unique birth plan, effective communication with your birth team, labor rehearsals, interactive games, and breakout rooms so you can interact with other expectant couples.
Areas/hospitals served: Couples take our classes from all over the country. We welcome students who are planning a hospital, freestanding birth center, or homebirth. Our classes give helpful information for all birth places.

Short bio:
Hello! My name is Tashona. I was born in sunny Florida and raised in the wonderful state of North Carolina. As a 10 year military spouse I've moved many, many times and am thrilled to have landed back at home in North Carolina. My family includes my husband of over 20 wonderful years and our four amazing children. We live right outside of Charlotte in Midland, NC and love being out of the busy-ness of the city but close enough to the city to do the cool stuff. Outside of work I enjoy creating lifelong family memories, attempting all types of DIY crafts and projects (and sometimes actually completing them), fine tuning my green thumb, and learning from and sharing with women from every generation across all walks of life.
My heart for serving women gave birth to Viumbe Birth and Wellness, LLC. I believe strongly that I was created to help, serve, and care for others so that they can fully do what they were created to do. After becoming a licensed massage therapist in 2013 and specializing in women's wellness, my passion for the prenatal period led me down the path of becoming certified in Fertility Massage (for both partners), Prenatal, Labor, and Postpartum Massage, and Infant Massage instruction. These massage certifications are what introduced me to birth work and now I can't imagine doing anything else. I took my first doula training with DONA International in 2014 and a second with The Birth Well in 2016. In an effort to support as many growing families as I can I've added childbirth education, placenta encapsulation and a handful of other offerings to the services I provide. I enjoy building relationships with not only my clients but also other professionals and am happy to connect the two when needed.
Enough about me, I want to hear about you. Pregnancy is such a special time and birth is such a special event in your life, your baby's life, and your family's life. The way you experience it will create a ripple effect in your life. I would be honored to support you through it and help you create a positive ripple... whether you're planning a home, birth center, or hospital birth it should be a birth you recall with all the good feels for years and years. So, what excites you? What concerns you? I hope to hear from you so that we can discuss how I can best support you.

Short bio:
I'm a seasoned CNM who recently moved from Georgia and is currently in the process of getting licensed in North Carolina. Once licensed, I'll offer home births in the Gaston and Cleveland County area. With decades of experience as both a midwife and perinatal nurse, I've welcomed over 1300 babies and pride myself on providing comprehensive prenatal care and education, and facilitating calm and compassionate birth experiences.
My Story:
The birth of my first child was a pivotal moment for me. I nearly lost my life due to unkind and unskilled medical care. This ignited my passion to ensure other women have positive birth experiences. Across my 1300+ deliveries, I maintained the lowest c-section rate in my hospital practice (3.8%) by embracing physiologic care and applying critical thinking skills learned from mentors in midwifery and labor management.
Upon certification by NCBON, I'll start offering home births. In the meantime, I'm organizing free and low-cost classes for clients, doulas, and birthing assistants at the Gaston County Museum.

Prenatal Classes for birthing persons
Fetal Monitoring Classes for non nurses
Areas/hospitals served:
Will be serving CaroMont and Belmont.
