Short bio:
I'm a seasoned CNM who recently moved from Georgia and is currently in the process of getting licensed in North Carolina. Once licensed, I'll offer home births in the Gaston and Cleveland County area. With decades of experience as both a midwife and perinatal nurse, I've welcomed over 1300 babies and pride myself on providing comprehensive prenatal care and education, and facilitating calm and compassionate birth experiences.
My Story:
The birth of my first child was a pivotal moment for me. I nearly lost my life due to unkind and unskilled medical care. This ignited my passion to ensure other women have positive birth experiences. Across my 1300+ deliveries, I maintained the lowest c-section rate in my hospital practice (3.8%) by embracing physiologic care and applying critical thinking skills learned from mentors in midwifery and labor management.
Upon certification by NCBON, I'll start offering home births. In the meantime, I'm organizing free and low-cost classes for clients, doulas, and birthing assistants at the Gaston County Museum.
Description of services offered:
Prenatal Classes for birthing persons
Fetal Monitoring Classes for non nurses
Areas/hospitals served:
Will be serving CaroMont and Belmont.
Trainings/Certifications:
Certified Nurse Midwife
Certified in Fetal Monitoring
Certified as a Fetal Monitoring Instructor
