Short bio:
I am a wife and mother of three with over 10 years of experience in educating and supporting mothers in breastfeeding, childbirth, and nutrition. I am a La Leche League Leader, ToLabor Professional Trained Doula, and Birth Photographer.
Although my husband and I prepared for childbirth through Bradley Method Childbirth classes and a significant amount of reading, our first two children were born by cesarean section. With a knowledgeable and supportive care provider and doula for my third birth, I was able to have a VBAC (vaginal birth after cesarean). Choosing a birth location that supports your needs and desires as well as a knowledgeable and supportive primary care provider is one of the most important decisions you can make that will affect the choices that you have in labor and the outcome of your birth.
My own experiences and struggles have given me a passion to help other mothers create the best opportunity for a successful natural childbirth. It is my goal to help each couple understand their options and choices, to create a loving and supportive environment where both parents feel that their desires are being heard and respected, and provide encouragement and evidence-based information along the way.
