Short bio:

Hi! I'm Brooke. I'm a wife & mother of two. I'm an Ohio native, but have called North Carolina home since high school. During the birth of my first child in 2016, I felt so informed, supported, and empowered even though things didn't quite go according to plan. I realized a lot of families aren't able to reflect positively on their birthing experience, and this burdened my heart to become a birth doula. I believe every family deserves to be seen, heard, and supported, no matter their birth preferences.

I have worked in a variety of capacities before arriving in the birth world. I studied Exercise Science in college, where I learned the amazing things our bodies are capable of. I've worked as an exercise physiologist in cardiac rehab, and as a wellness coach in a hospital setting. I've worked specifically with women, people with high blood pressure, diabetes, as well as the general population. I was also in full-time ministry, working with college students and teenagers. In that capacity, I learned to meet people where they're at, to comfort and to hold space for someone. These experiences brought me to a new understanding of wholeness - body, mind, and spirit. This set me up perfectly to team up alongside families in their birth journeys.

Being invited into a birth space is not something I take lightly, and supporting families throughout this adventure is my passion and calling. It would be my honor and privilege to serve you in this important season of life.
