Short bio:

Hello, my name is Kira Kimble and I am a Certified Doula, Certified Traditional Postpartum Birthworker, Certified placenta encapsulation specialist and Doula Trainer. I am also the owner of MINE-R-T Doula Company, Charlotte’s first black-owned doula agency. We offer birth support, postpartum care, childbirth education classes and placenta encapsulation services. We are an informative resource, source of support, and labor coaches for pregnant individuals and their partners.

I became a doula in 2012 to help individuals have gratifying and empowering childbirth experiences. I have been married for 22 years and have 4 children. Prior to raising my family, I worked in marketing for almost 10 years at The Charlotte Observer, The Gaston Gazette and The Winston-Salem Journal. I grew up in Erie, PA. I attended Phillips Academy in Andover, MA and then earned a degree in business from Wake Forest University. I enjoy sports, music and languages. I studied Japanese and Spanish in college and doula for families in English and Spanish.

We support individuals and their partners in a variety of settings including hospitals, birth centers, and private homes. We have experience with plus size birth, VBAC, VBA2C, VBA3C, multiples, C-Section, medicated and unmedicated births. I also have experience with elimination communication or infant potty learning.
